Anyone who spends time with Nashville recording artist and East Central Indiana native Corey Cox, knows those words are more than just lyrics in a song.  Trust, values and family, are the key principles in the career Corey is building.  And, as the rising singer/songwriter says, the ride is just beginning.  The ride Cox refers to started in the small Indiana town of Pendleton, a historic community with a population near 3,100.  Pendleton is a quaint community which provided the backdrop where Corey learned the benefits of family, friends, hard work, playing sports, and listening to country music.

Corey was a multi-sport athlete in high school and played baseball at Anderson University, but it was his love of music and performing that caused him to change his focus and his goals.  His first band, made up of friends from school, performed whenever schedules allowed and a willing venue agreed.

Since forming his first band just a few short years ago, Corey has packed many clubs and venues.  From Florida to Minnesota, Oklahoma to Boston, his ambitious schedule has included playing with national acts such as Diamond Rio, Travis Tritt, Justin Moore, Clay Walker, David Nail, and many more.  In 2010, Corey’s path to success took a significant leap forward, when he signed on as a staff songwriter with Better Angels Music in Nashville, TN.  Since then, Corey has recorded and released his debut, self-titled record containing 13 songs, 11 of which he either wrote or co-wrote himself.  The majority of the songs were produced by the legendary musician, singer, songwriter and drummer for John Mellencamp, Dane Clark.   Corey just released a brand new, EP that features five brand new songs!

Corey has built a reputation within the country music industry, especially in Nashville, as one of the best live performers in the business.  He is a future star, and he humbly gives much of the credit for his success to finding players for his band who are as talented as him.  2012 promises to be a huge year for Corey and his band as his rise to stardom continues at an accelerated speed.  For more information on Corey Cox, please visit the links section above!

Even when you dont like the game, it could be worth it to have some Knicks or Lakers tickets just to bag-watch.
