Single Review: Wraparound Porch by Jacob Martin Band

Jacob Martin Band is a newly formed, established in 2011 via Craigslist, band that's a bit country and a bit rock and roll. Covering from all parts of the country, Jacob Martin (vocals/rhythm guitar), Josh Carlson (drums/background vocals), Jeff Coggins (lead guitar), and Mike Guy (base/background vocals) came together to form a powerful, melodic band that captivates both country and rock listeners. In the summer of 2012, the band recorded an 8-song LP with producer Jody Stevens. Upon completion of the LP, the band quickly drew interest from Buddy Lee Attractions, and joined their roster of artists in September of 2012.
Wraparound Porch, written by hit song writers Brett James and Ashley Gorley, is the newly released single from the band. The song proves the band has figured out the perfect blend of country drawl with a rocking beat. It's a song that deserves to see success on radio and certainly has the potential to do just that. Jacob Martin's voice has a nice tone and versatility to it, he'd be successful singing both country and rock. The backing band help creates a sound that rivals country heavy weights Jason Aldean and Brantley Gilbert.
Wraparound Porch is a great tune that showcases the talent and versatility of the band . It's a song that has the strength and likeability that listeners grasp on to. It's only a matter of time before we see the Jacob Martin Band on the top of the charts. I look forward to hearing more from the band in 2013!
